It all depends on the weather conditions and the amount of snow. You can go sledding on your own or even on a guided tour. Here are some examples:
Tamar is the most famous valley, visited by many people in all seasons. It is even more prevalent when you can go sledding in the colder months. The advantages are that the valley is easily accessible for children and dogs, the path is easy, and wonderful views accompany us. Also, parking in Planica for the whole day costs only 3,5 euros, and the hut is practically open all the time, serving drinks and food.
2.) MOUNTAIN TROMEJA
From Tromeja, you can also go sledding. Be aware that you’ll be a bit more tired here, as you’ll need to climb some 650 meters to get to the top. However, the pleasure will be all the more significant and long when you sled down. There is often a hut open at the top.
Krnica is a slightly less visited valley, but the trail is easy for children and puppies, and the views are phenomenal. Be aware, however, that the hut is usually only open for weekends and holidays in winter. Tamar is more famous for sledding, but here too, you, or at least the little ones, will have a great time.
4.) KRANJSKA GORA SKI RESORT
You can also go sledding in the ski resort, but make sure you stay out of the way of the skiers. Usually, you can sled in one part of the ski resort. There are also many cafés, restaurants, and chalets nearby.
5.) GUIDED SLEDDING
In Kranjska Gora, you can even go on guided sledding. Of course, it all depends on the weather and snow conditions. For more information, visit: https://www.julijana.info/en/activities/winter-activities/sledging.
But remember, in Kranjska Gora, you can also ski, use the cross-country ski trails, or wander around and enjoy the winter idyll. And at the Jacobs Resort in Podkoren, you’ll get away from the hustle and bustle for a bit more relaxation.
And be safe. I share my tips and ideas of what to see and experience, but each one must take safety care of safety alone. Therefore, for any injuries and accidents, I do not accept responsibility. Everyone knows how much they can do.
Until next time, Bini
