Lake Jasna – Kranjska Gora
Beautiful view of the surrounding mountains Razor and Prisojnik, crystal clear lake, the famous bronze statue of an ibex, and ducks swimming happily on the lake. This is Jasna, an artificially formed double lake at the confluence of the Velika and Mala Pišnica streams. Interesting to visit in all seasons. Piers and bridges connect both sides of the lake and a 6-meter high viewing platform.
Some activities at the lake
Cool off in ice-cold water in summer, rent a soup/paddleboard or enjoy an ice cream. In winter, admire the views with hot tea in hand. You can also fish in the lake. Only fly fishing is allowed.
Location and the path to the lake
There are two parking lots along the lake, and the first is paid, the second one is (for now) free.
However, you can walk to Jasna from the Jacobs Resort. There are about 50 minutes of easy walking along the path that connects Mojstrana with Italy. From Kranjska Gora onwards, the fastest is the one along the main road leading to Vršič. But a much more excellent way leads along the left or right side of the river Pišnica. This time our puppy Kan joined us on this beautiful walk.
Simply enjoy, our lake Jasna in summer and winter.
Until next time, Bini
